Class Description

Children´s Flamenco This class is designed for children between the ages of 7 to 11 years of age. Technique and discipline will be instructed, focusing on the development of coordination, ear training, sense of rhythm and memorization through short choreographies.
Introduction to Flamenco This class is recommended for people that have never received flamenco dance instruction. Basic technique will be instructed to the student by introducing simple flamenco choreographies (Sevillanas).
Flamenco Level I This level is structured to strengthen footwork technique, postural control, use of arms, hands, head etc … at the same time short choreographies of different rhythms will be taught until an intermediate level.
Flamenco Level II Once this level is reached after completing the preceding levels, the student will be on track to learning technique and choreographies of an advanced level. The main goal of this class is to make sure that the various flamenco rhythms are familiar and that the dance movements are first nature.
Specialty Class In Flamenco Dance, there are diverse accessories that are used to adorn distinct choreographies, like the Manton (shawl), Bata de Cola (train dress), Abanico (fan) and Baston (Wooden Cane) …etc. This class will teach students how to dominate these different accessories and their traditional techniques.
Flamenco Cajon This class the student will be taught how to play the Cajon, it´s accompaniment of the song and dance in all rhythms.
Palmas This class is offered upon great demand of students that have interest in learning how to play palmas. The technique of accompaniment of palmas will be taught through various rhythms, musicality, matisse, and how to use all of these elements correctly in Flamenco.
Review Level I & II The review class will be offered so that students that incorporate in the level I and II at a later date or a student that has missed class can catch up on the present choreographies.
Clasico Español (TBA) In this class students can take advantage of enjoying the technique of Classical Spanish Dance, with it´s use of castanets and choreographies of various Spanish Compositors (Falla, Albeniz, Turina…etc).

Each and every artist or dancer has individuality and their peculiar way of transmitting their interpretation which makes Flamenco rich in style and personality. Entre Flamenco DanzArt Center will offer exceptional intensive workshops that will bring different master artists of different styles of Flamenco Dance to enhance the student´s learning experience. These workshops will be announced in advanced on the website and in the DanzArt Center.
