Guitarist, composer, singer and musicologist born in Cádiz, Spain with a long career accompanying and composing for great flamenco artists, as well as acting as the main artist combining his voice, his guitar and his compositions. In his music, of great sensitivity, converge, in addition to his talent, he has traveled with his musical baggage in more than 25 countries.
Juan Jose was a finalist on the Spanish television show THE VOICE 2020 on Antenna 3
reaching the Final Phase and with social networking videos that exceed one million views.
He was featured on EL MUNDO FUERA, the movie of Spanish pop star Alejandro Sanz for his particular version of “A la Primera Persona” with more than a million views on Alejandro Sanz's social networks. Recognized as the artist of the 39th Assilah International Festival in 2017 in Assilah, Morroco. Le Matin de Morroco wrote "... The audience was amazed by this enchanting show ... the Spanish composer, singer and guitarist filled the audience with his talent."
Juan Jose has served as musical director for the flamenco company of Antonio “El Pipa” since 2009. With this mentioned company he has performed with Czech Mezzo-Soprano Magdalena Kozena in the production “Love Between Heaven and Hell” tour at venues such as Elbephilharmonie Concert Hall (Germany), Opera Gent (Belgium), Royal Theatre of Madrid, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and Theatre de Champs Elysees in Paris, France. He has also served as musical director, composer and guitarist in “Gaditana” a production that toured the United States in 2018. He was the co-musical director and guitarist in Eduardo Guerrero’s “Guerrero” with international tours throughout Latin America in 2019. Juan Jose has been a member of Entreflamenco since 2022. In 2024, he was awarded the “Best Music Video Award” with the New Mexico Music Awards for his music video of “Santa Fe Style.”
